About the program instructor Coleen Adderley

I am a quilt and fibre artist that has developed a program to help kids, youth and young adults express themselves through a variety of different mediums. My program will help with self expression, listening skills, hand eye coordination/fine motor skills, sensory integration skills all while building communication and social skills.

A bit about me, I am a Licensed Practical Nurse with a Bachelors of Health Sciences degree with a psychology major. I have taken courses on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder (ADD & ADHD) and the development of Integrated Education Plans (IEP;s). In addition to my education, I have hands on learning as I have a daughter with Pervasive Development Disorder Not Otherwise Diagnosed (PDDNOS)

I have been a quilt and fibre artist for over 17 years and have been teaching for the past six. I have sold several pieces of fibre art, had pieces exhibited all over the world and continue to express myself creatively on a regular basis. I look forward to working with your loved ones and helping them to find their medium of choice when creatively expressing themselves.
